Jeffrey P. Schaffer

Jeff Schaffer is the Founder and President of Five Crowns Capital, Inc. Jeff currently serves as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of American Sand & Gravel, Ltd., and has been a director on numerous other boards. He is an experienced buyouts professional that has successfully initiated, executed and exited many acquisitions over the past 20 years.

Prior to founding Five Crowns Capital, Jeff was the Managing Director of Private Equity for The United Company, a large diversified company (energy, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, financial services and golf) founded in 1970 with capital exceeding $1.5 Billion. As an executive officer, he served on the company's Operating and Investment Committees and was President of Scratch Golf Company.

Prior to joining The United Company, Jeff was a partner at Marwit Capital, a Newport Beach-based private investment fund with a forty-year history focusing on equity and subordinated debt investments in closely-held companies. He has also held senior positions at Price Waterhouse Coopers and H.J. Heinz food company.

Jeff is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and a Certified Public Accountant in California. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and a M.B.A. with a dual major in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
